Description
The New Balance Men’s Fresh Foam X Hierro v9 GTX is built for runners, hikers, and adventurers who demand comfort, protection, and performance across rugged terrain. Combining waterproof protection with superior cushioning, this shoe redefines what’s possible for long-distance trail exploration.
Waterproof GORE-TEX Construction
The Hierro v9 GTX is designed to keep feet dry in all conditions. Its integrated GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane offers complete waterproofing while remaining lightweight and breathable. This allows air circulation for temperature regulation without sacrificing protection from puddles, rain, or mud.
Fresh Foam X Cushioning
Underfoot, the shoe features New Balance’s most advanced midsole compound — Fresh Foam X. This responsive cushioning delivers a plush, smooth ride that absorbs impact and keeps feet comfortable mile after mile. The design promotes forward motion and energy return, reducing fatigue during extended wear.
Trail-Ready Outsole
The outsole is engineered for all-terrain traction with multi-directional lugs for grip on rocks, dirt, and uneven surfaces. Its durable rubber compound provides stability on wet or dry trails, while maintaining enough flexibility for a natural stride.
Protective and Supportive Design
A reinforced toe cap guards against trail debris, while structured overlays add durability in high-wear zones. The shoe’s supportive frame helps stabilize each step, and the padded collar ensures a secure yet comfortable ankle fit.
Comfort and Fit
The Hierro v9 GTX provides a snug midfoot hold with a roomy toe box, allowing natural toe splay for comfort on longer outings. Despite its protective build, it maintains a surprisingly lightweight feel. The balanced platform and 4mm drop make it ideal for runners and walkers alike who need underfoot cushioning without losing ground feel.
This trail runner is equally suited for rugged hikes, off-road runs, or everyday outdoor adventures — blending waterproof assurance, plush cushioning, and durable traction into one reliable performer.
